Responsibilities
- Analysis, design and development of new applications, change requests, enhancement requests
- Configuration changes required to software applications to meet the users requirements based on the business requirement documents
- Apply existing standards for programming, naming, security & performance and provide proper code documentation
- Document and assist in defining the functional and technical requirements of the application
- Create, execute and document unit tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets functional and performance requirements
- Promote reusable components to the technical architecture team
- Coaching of less experienced Java/.NET Developers within the team
- Keeping up with the latest developments of Java/.NET programming, tools and methodologies
- Ability to manipulate database systems for the extraction, transfer and treatment of data
Which language skills are required?
- Fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is a plus.
Technical qualifications and experience
- Min 4 years’ experience with JAVA web and component technologies (JSP, Struts, J2EE, EJB, Spring, Hibernate, ) and/or developing .NET 2.0 or higher web applications in C#, VB Script, ASP.Net MVC
- Good knowledge of Jquery, HTML5 and CSS3
- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of Webservices, XML
- Knowledge of MS SQL and Oracle
- Knowledge of technical analysis, object orientation and design principles
- Knowledge of mobile development related to IPad or other Android applications will be appreciated
